Spray Gun Polishing

Spray Gun Wood Polishing — Factory Finish, On Site

Hand-applied polish leaves brush drag and a patchy sheen. A spray gun with a compressor lays an even film that levels itself — the finish you see on showroom furniture. We set up a controlled zone on site, so your wardrobes never leave the house.

What sets it apart

How we approach spray gun polishing

Four things that decide whether this job holds up in two years.

01

Compressor + spray gun, not a brush

An atomised coat levels flat with no drag marks. On a wardrobe shutter the difference is visible from across the room.

02

Dust-controlled zone on site

We sheet and isolate the work area so airborne dust does not settle into wet polish. No dispatching furniture to a workshop.

03

PU, melamine or duco

Matt, satin or high-gloss. We show you cured samples on your own wood before you commit to a sheen.

04

Full grain preparation

Machine sanding, grain filling and sealer coats. Spray finish only looks premium over prepared substrate.

How a spray gun polishing job actually runs

These stages are what you are paying for. Skipping one is how a quote gets cheap.

  1. Step 01

    Sample on your wood

We polish a small hidden panel of your actual furniture so you judge the sheen on the real grain, not a catalogue.

  2. Step 02

    Isolation & masking

Work zone sheeted off, floors and adjacent surfaces protected, extraction positioned.

  3. Step 03

    Sanding & grain filling

Machine sanded through grits, grain filler worked in, sealer coat applied and cut back.

  4. Step 04

    Spray coats

Multiple thin atomised coats with cure time between. Rushing this is what causes orange-peel texture.

  5. Step 05

    Cure & handover

Full cure before the zone is opened, then a walkthrough under good light.

FAQs

Spray Gun Polishingcommon questions

Still unsure about something? Ask on WhatsApp — you will get a straight answer, not a sales pitch.

Ask a question
What is the difference between PU and melamine polish?

Melamine is more economical and suits low-traffic surfaces. PU is harder, more water and scratch resistant, and holds its sheen far longer — worth it on kitchen shutters, doors and anything handled daily.

Do you take my wardrobes to a workshop?

No. We set up a controlled spray zone in your home. Fitted wardrobes cannot be moved without damage, and transporting loose furniture adds risk and cost.

Will the smell be a problem?

There is solvent odour during application and cure. We ventilate and schedule around your occupancy — most clients keep the treated room shut for 24–48 hours.

Can you re-polish old, damaged furniture?

Usually yes. We strip or sand back the failed coat, repair the substrate, then build the new finish. We assess and tell you honestly if a piece is beyond economical repair.
